Hampshire County Chess Competition

Cubs from 1st Fordingbridge Cub Pack represented the New Forest West district at County Chess this year. The competition is divided into the under 9 1/2 years and over 9 1/2 years age category, with one district entry in each division. Cubs from all districts across Hampshire competed, with 27 competitors present. Our Cubs both performed well throughout the afternoon, playing 5 games each, several games reaching the 20 minute maximum playing time and passing to adjudicator decision.
